Percentage and Amount of Carbohydrate and Fat used During Cardiovascular or Aerobic Exercise and Sports

Approximate percentage contribution of carbohydrate and fat after 30 minutes of aerobic exercise (cycling) at either lower (walking), moderate (jogging) or higher (running) intensities. While the lower intensity will allow for a greater percentage of fat use (top graphic), the moderate intensity will allow for a greater quantity of fat used (bottom graphic).
